Hello! I'm Maria, I'm 20 years old and I'm a student.

Now, you might be thinking: "Well, another student... So what?" 😒

But, let me tell you something: since I was 6 years old, Rhythmic Gymnastics has been my life. I went through different clubs until, at the age of 9, I managed to join the Andorran Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. At 13, I made the big decision to move away from my family to train at the CAR in Sant Cugat, Barcelona.

Interesting? Maybe. But what is certain is that I have many stories to tell, and I'm sure you're going to identify with more than one.

But don't worry, I'm not going to tell you everything at once.

I'm super excited about this new project!

"Oolé!!" Rhythmic Gymnastics was born in 2024, when I needed ideas for my final year project. And what could I do? Something I'm passionate about, of course! And that's Rhythmic Gymnastics.

I thought: “It's been many years of training, competing, and yes, also getting injured. But all the good and the bad has shaped me to be who I am today. Now it's my turn to contribute something to this sport that I love so much. What if it goes wrong? Well, at least it will be another experience and a dedicated job. What if it goes well? The truth is, I don't know how far I can go, but I'm not lacking the desire.” :)

This is not just a sports clothing and accessories store. It is a statement of principles, a space where I not only transmit the values ​​that I have acquired throughout my sports career, but I also invite the community to share and enrich those values ​​with their own experiences. It is a place to learn together, support each other and grow as athletes and people. It’s like banging the table, shouting together: Oolé!! and feeling like we’re all part of this movement.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is an Olympic sport. We work hard and train longer than many other sports. We cry, we laugh, we get injured and we keep going. We compete, even against each other. We drag our families across towns, cities and countries. And often there’s not even a budget for simple pointe shoes… But we arouse passion and admiration. We are a SPORT, we are a MOVEMENT, we are “Oolé!!”!

PS: I chose the name “Oolé!!” because I’ve always loved how the public cheers on the athletes, how they recognise a job well done by chanting every movement with this wonderful sound. It’s a small but powerful word that carries with it all the strength and emotion of our sport.
